PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS

Throughout the last 17 years, I have worked in the charity sector, private practice and for the NHS.

Having started as a frontline practitioner working therapeutically with people affected by addiction and social marginalisation, I later gravitated towards volunteer management, training and coaching, eventually working nationally as a learning lead for a large mental health and drugs and alcohol charity.

In service of working with such a broad range of people and contexts, I have studied extensively, both because of my personal love of learning and so that I can offer a flexible range of integrative approaches to help resolve different problems. Below is an outline of my most relevant trainings:

  • Diploma in Integrative Counselling (Re-Vision)

  • MSc Leadership and Management (Coaching & Mentoring) (University of West England) (Distinction)

  • Certificate in Group Practice (Gestalt Centre)

  • Accredited Yoga Teacher (Yoga Alliance Professionals)

  • BA Hons (Open) (Critical Social Psychology and Systems Approaches to Managing Complexity), 2.1 (The Open University)

  • Level 3 Certificate in PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) (BACES)

  • Level 3 Certificate in Management (Intraining Workforce Development)

  • TAQA Certificate (Crescent Training)

  • Healing NLP Master Practitioner (Society of NLP)

  • NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care

  • Advanced Motivational Interviewing (Steven Rollnick)

  • CBT - Key Knowledge & Skills (APT)

In addition to the qualifications listed above, I have attended many more brief courses as part of my continuing professional development. If you would like further information, please feel welcome to ask.
